What does an AMI distance learning day look like for students?
Early Childhood Center: Educators, Special Services, and Instructional Paraprofessionals
- Students should check their online learning platform (Seesaw) to see what the teacher has posted on the modified lesson for the day. They also have the opportunity to complete a pre-created packet sent home previous to the snow day.
- There will be a posted assignment or project that the student must show either progress or completion (depending on the stated expectation from the teacher).
- Attendance will not be counted for those students who do not submit any work for that day. Students must log in to Seesaw and complete any posted assignments for that day, complete the choice board activities, or turn in the completed work packet. A student who fails to complete the Seesaw task or the above-mentioned options will be counted as “absent” for that AMI day.
- All special services will be provided if the service would normally fall on that day and will be arranged through Seesaw. Special Google Meet will be provided for students with high needs who would normally receive services on this day.
