Candidate Filing

Qualified applicants for the Board may file a declaration of candidacy during business hours in the superintendent's office commencing at 8:00 a.m. on the seventeenth Tuesday prior to the election and ending at 5:00 p.m. on the fourteenth Tuesday prior to the election. The candidate shall declare his or her intent to become a candidate in person and in writing to the secretary of the Board of Education. 

Information Regarding the April 7, 2026 Election

The filing period for the April 7, 2026 Board of Education election has closed.  Since there were three filers for three positions, and there are no other school district related issues on the ballot, the district will not hold an election on April 7, 2026.

Candidate Qualifications

US Citizen
Resident taxpayer of Grandview C-4 School District
Resided in the school district and Missouri for a minimum of one year immediately prior to the election
At least 24 years old
Not delinquent in the payment of taxes
Not found or pled guilty to a felony 
Not found or pled guilty to assault or harassment in the 1stor 2nd degree on school grounds
Not required to register as a sex offender
Filed campaign disclosures as required on previous elections as a candidate
