superintendent of schools here in Grandview it is Monday August 24th as you know on Saturday July 25th our board voted that we would move our first day of alarm for September 8th which is still just a right on two weeks away but we'd also start the year in a virtual environment we know that caused a little bit of a challenge in terms of confusion because we were still having you sign up whether or not you wanted your child to in a virtual environment or to be in school the reason we did that is because we knew that there would be a point in time this semester that we would have students on campus or not wanting their child to ever step foot on camper at least you're the first semester so when we did bring students back how many students would be bringing back at that particular point in time so we do still want to spank that will be watching the numbers and be talking with the Jackson County Health Department every single week and so hopefully we'll be able to bring her students back as quickly as possible but any additional information obviously is still on her website terms of what we're doing while we're doing it what is cleanliness look like in our schools now what is visitor look like now at our school so please make sure that you're looking at information and let us know if you have any questions so please be on the lookout if your if your child hasn't been participating you can certainly contact to your school sites but we are moving forward now with passports and I will be putting out some additional information at this time if you don't feel safe and sending your child certainly that is also your choice and I want to make sure that we put out that information as quickly as we can find distribution is definitely coming out that's going to be next week I've already received some information from your school site will also be putting that information out in a blast over the course of the next day or two so you can see all the different schedules at every one of the school sites that ship you have multiple kids at most we did change our fees on that and remove all fees except for insurance we do still have an option insurance we can read all that information in the in the in the sign up I bet you'll check out and sign the check out for enrollment if you have not enrolling your child please do so as quickly as possible and go through that process and you can make sign ups at your appointment at the individual school science and make sure that you can look at a website take me to ditional information but want to make sure that you do that as quickly as you possibly can and so that way we get a better idea of how many students were going to have this school year we're still concerned in terms of I started school and not being able to come on the campus and it's very confusing when you have the urge to the south of us that started school today just a reminder please make sure that you know we're doing it for the health and safety of all of our students our hope is still the after the first couple weeks of school will be able to start bringing back at least our pre-k through 3rd graders and slowly start bringing back that are older students but I want to do so very methodically and and do so in phases so we can follow the guidance also keep everybody safe including our students but not only them but our staff as well thank you so much preciate it as much as we can to keep you updated thank you very much
