Project Lead the Way CEO Visits Grandview

PLTW President and CEO Vince Bertram toured Belvidere Elementary School Thursday.
He visited our district’s innovation classrooms, classrooms designed to provide out-of-the-box instruction to students. Bertram also heard from students and teachers about PLTW practices in our district, including input from one of our students in the award winning Focus program, which won the Burns and McDonnell Battle of the Brains KC competition.
“The district's commitment to PLTW is more than 10 years in the making. PLTW has provided additional opportunities for all of our students to have engaging classroom environments where they can solve real world problems while critically thinking and collaborating with each other," said Grandview C-4 Superintendent Dr. Kenny Rodrequez.
The Grandview C-4 School District was recently recognized by Project Lead the Way for offering STEM classes to ALL students, K-12. The district is one out of 45 districts in the State of Missouri to be designated an 100% access district by PLTW.
PLTW offers comprehensive K-12 pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science to schools across the U.S. PLTW has more than 12,5000 programs in more than 10,500 schools, that impact 2.4 million students.
