Honeywell Scholarship

Honeywell announced a scholarship for GHS seniors who are interested in trade school next year.  The Honeywell Opportunity for Prosperity through Education (HOPE) scholarship will be awarded to as many as 5 students this spring and will cover their full tuition and expenses.

School Improvement Plans

Belvidere, Butcher-Greene and High Grove Early Childhood Center presented their school improvement plans.  Belvidere, which scored 100% on Missouri’s  Annual Performance Report (APR) for the third consecutive year, will focus on increasing student achievement in Math, Language Arts and Science, integrating technology and maintaining a positive school climate.  Butcher-Greene, which scored in the Performance with Distinction category on the APR, identified goals to increase achievement in Language Arts, Math and Science, and improve attendance. High Grove identified working with letters, improving cooperative interactions and creating home/school partnerships as goals for this year.

2017-18 School Calendar

The Board adopted the 2017-2018 school calendar with school beginning on August 17, 2017 and ending May 22, 2018 if no snow days are needed.

Policy Adoption

As a result of new legislation, the Board adopted changes to policies regarding bullying, hazing, student discipline and reporting, school admissions and visitors to school property.

Board Member Appreciation

Representatives from GNEA, MSTA, District Administration and the Central Office recognized Board members for their service to Grandview C-4.
