The entire meeting agenda can be viewed at: July 21, 2016 BOE Meeting

Program Evaluation

The Board reviewed and approved the program evaluation for Transportation.  District transportation total mileage exceeded 335,000 miles for the year.  Additionally, 900 field/activity trips were scheduled amounting to over 33,000 miles.  New software was purchased to enhance bus routing, fleet maintenance and student tracking.  Two transportation drivers participated in the State Competition for safe driving and bus inspection.  Recruiting and retaining qualified drivers remains a challenge for the Transportation Department

Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) Compliance Plan

The Board approved the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education IDEA model compliance plan to meet the requirements of providing education for children with disabilities.  The district adopts the plan annually after a compliance plan is finalized by the state.
