2026 Missouri Pathfinder of the Year
The board was proud to recognize Mary Klick, our Real World Learning Facilitator Coordinator, for being named the 2026 Missouri Pathfinder of the Year by the Missouri Community College Association. This award honors the “unsung heroes” who go above and beyond to help students explore college and career options and take meaningful steps toward their future. Over the past three years, Mary has helped grow Grandview’s Early College Program from 14 students to nearly 60, while also supporting more than 1,100 students annually through academy and pathway experiences, advising, events and career exploration opportunities! We are incredibly proud of Mary and excited to see her dedication to Grandview students recognized at the state level.
Grandview Drumline
The board recognized the hard work of our Grandview Drumline and teachers. This year at the Annual “Drummit at the Summit” Marching Percussion Competition, Grandview competed in a class of four drumlines. Our students took first place!
School Improvement Plans (SIPS)
Following the District's focus on student improvement, each school site will utilize the School Improvement Plan (SIP) process during teacher collaboration to identify goals, focus adult learning to improve instruction, and monitor student achievement to inform instruction. These plans will be presented during board meetings throughout the school year. We look forward to hearing from all the schools this year.
Board of Education Filing for the April 6, 2027 Election
The Board approved a legal notice of the filing dates and times for Board of Education candidates for the April 6, 2027, election. The state sets the dates for filing, which this year are December 15 through January 5, 2026, and the district establishes which days/times the district offices will be open for filing during that period.
