BIST
The Grandview C-4 School District has partnered with the Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST) since the 1989–1990 school year. For over 21 years, BIST has been a core behavioral intervention strategy in classrooms, providing compassionate, timely support to address behavioral challenges and promote safe, respectful learning environments.
In 2024–2026, the BIST partnership grew to include in-home family support services for those identified by district staff as needing additional help. These services reinforce consistent behavior strategies between home and school. Through these efforts, Grandview C-4 continues to prioritize the holistic well-being of its students and families.
Rose Brooks
The District has collaborated with the Rose Brooks Center for numerous years to provide violence prevention services. Through their Project SAFE Program they provide:
- Facilitation of weekly support groups within targeted schools to provide students with skills to lead lives free of violence
- Facilitation of weekly Pre-K & K presentations for age-appropriate emotional management skills
- Implementation of pre and post testing to monitor student progress
- Ongoing consultation with teachers and staff
This year Rose Brooks staff met with 433 students and provided over 991 lessons to small groups.
Arvest Bank Grant Recipient
Each year, Arvest Bank hosts its “We love Teachers” campaign as part of its commitment to supporting educators and the communities it serves. The campaign recognizes a limited number of teachers across Arvest’s four-state footprint of Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma for the impact they make in their classrooms and for creating learning environments where students feel welcomed, valued, and supported. This year, Arvest is awarding just 137 teachers. Grandview’s own Katelyn Carcione was selected as one of the recipients and received $500 to support her classroom! Great job Katelyn for making a positive impact on our students and community.
