Seal of Biliteracy
Seal of Biliteracy is a program recognizing students who have achieved proficiency in two or more languages, including English. It highlights skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in both languages. When a student graduates with this official recognition on the high school diploma and transcripts, it showcases a student’s language proficiency to colleges and employers. Ten of our Grandview C4 students earned this distinction.
Cornerstones of Care
The District and the Cornerstones of Care organization have been working together for many years in various capacities. The partnership has provided support to Grandview students and families in the areas of counseling, mental health, and school-based work.
GC-4 has continued to partner with Cornerstones of Care to provide a multi-level partnership which includes: training and professional development, provision of direct services including mental health services, social-emotional wellness groups and service navigation, as well as provide semi-annual universal social emotional health screenings.
Rediscover
The District and ReDiscover have been working together for many years in various capacities. The partnership has provided support to Grandview students and families in the areas of counseling, mental health, and school-based work. The District has continued to partner with ReDiscover to provide a multi-level partnership which includes: training and professional development, provision of direct services including mental health services, social-emotional wellness groups and service navigation, as well as mental health and substance abuse screenings. ReDiscover Children’s Services staff has doubled in the last 8-10 years. Their focus is to increase layers of support for students and families. Over the course of the school year, ReDiscover has served 218 unique students within Grandview’s School Based Team.
BSN Nike Uniform and Gear
The school board has approved a contract with BSN Nike Uniform and Gear! This contract will centralize uniform and apparel purchases that will save from 10% up to 40% on uniform and apparel purchases. These discounts will come from the coordination of purchases district-wide to reach the highest rebate tier. The Bulldog Exchange (Bulldog Store) will offer Nike and BSN Grandview branded apparel for students, staff, families and community members. This store will promote consistent Grandview branding across all schools and programs and general additional revenue opportunities for our athletic programs and activities.
