Celebrations
The Board recognized Sandy Gordon. Sandy is the very first Bulldog Award Recipient. She has served students as a teacher and para for 50 years.
The Board also recognized all the work that the individual school sites have done with their Lego League students.
Curriculum & Instruction Update
As part of a continuous improvement plan, the Curriculum and Instruction Department has been evaluating our current needs in the area of K-12 mathematics and 6-12 social studies. This review has included feedback from K-8 curriculum facilitators, building instructional coaches, district instructional coaches, K-8 teachers, and administrators. The C&I Department facilitated question-and-answer sessions to ensure the teachers’ voices were heard.
The board has approved the purchase of 6-12 TCI Social Studies resources, 9-12 Savvas Mathematics resources, and a K-8 iReady Math resource. This adoption supports instructional consistency and aligns with district-wide literacy goals.
Future Bond Project
The Facilities Improvement Team (FIT) has identified 3 sites to include in our Bond projects. The first is work on the High Grove car drive loop, security fencing, and improvements to the long jump runways. There will also be improvements made to the Butcher Greene parking lot. GHS will be receiving updates to the stadium sidewalks and an ADA
