GC-4 Welcomes New Assistant Superintendents

 

Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

Dr. Jennifer Harris has been named Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the Grandview C-4 School District.

Dr. Harris brings more than 15 years of experience as a dedicated building leader, including serving as a principal in the Grandview C-4 School District from 2016 to 2023 at Belvidere Elementary and Martin City K-8, with a proven track record of fostering positive school cultures, supporting staff growth, and keeping student success at the center of her work. Prior to serving in building leadership, she was an elementary teacher, math interventionist, and assessment coordinator, experiences that ground her leadership in both instruction and systems.

Dr. Harris holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Education Specialist, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Her strong academic background, paired with her practical leadership experience, equips her with a deep understanding of effective systems, talent development, and organizational leadership.

Throughout her career, Dr. Harris has remained committed to supporting educators and staff, recognizing that a strong, supported workforce is essential to student achievement. She is passionate about recruiting, developing, and retaining high-quality educators while building systems that ensure every staff member feels valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work for students.

 

Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Finance

Grandview C-4 is pleased to welcome Joe Kinder, who will join the district as Superintendent of Operations and Finance beginning July 1.

Joe brings nearly 19 years of experience serving Missouri public school districts as a trusted advisor in finance and facilities planning. Throughout his career, he has partnered with more than 100 school systems to develop strategic solutions supporting operating needs, facility improvements, and long-range planning. His work has included nearly 1,000 bond and lease transactions, helping secure billions of dollars in funding for school facility investments across the state.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Law. Prior to his work in public finance, he practiced law with Shook, Hardy & Bacon.

Joe and his wife, Sarah, have two children and reside near Blue Springs. He enjoys spending time with his family, staying active outdoors, and serving his community.
