Superintendent Blog: Growth, Goals, and Grandview Progress

This month, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released its Annual Performance Report (APR). The report is designed to assist districts in aligning their practices with tangible outcomes to highlight improvements made throughout the schools. We remain committed to continuous improvement in all areas of teaching and learning in Grandview C-4, and our latest MSIP 6 Annual Performance Report (APR) offers both clear direction and encouraging progress. While the data shows areas where we must continue to grow, it also highlights the intentional work happening across our schools.

This year, Grandview C-4’s APR score increased from 63.7% to 66.5%, a 3% gain that moves us closer to our district goal of 70%. Our Continuous Improvement score, however, which rose from 86.6% to 90%, reflects the strategic efforts our educators are making to strengthen instruction and support systems.

Our English/Language Arts results continue to show steady, meaningful growth. Grandview again scored “On Track” for all students and achieved the “Target” score for the Student Group—evidence that our work to close achievement gaps is making a difference.

We are grateful for the dedication of our staff and the hard work of our students. With continued focus and collaboration, we are confident that Grandview C-4 will keep moving forward. Our mission remains clear: ensure every student experiences success and graduates future-ready.
