End of Year Assessments 

The Curriculum & Instruction Department reviewed end-of-year math and English language arts iReady assessment data for kindergarten through eighth grade. These assessments are used to identify any needed adjustments to interventions for students not yet at grade level or enrichment for students who are already at or beyond grade level. The assessment analysis showed growth compared to last year in K-5 foundational skills. 

Caring for Kids 

The district has partnered with Caring for Kids since 2018.  Their mission is to mobilize community organizations such as local churches, business, and civic groups to help neighborhood schools achieve their goals.  This year Caring for Kids enlisted the assistance of 38 community partners involving 127 volunteers serving nearly 3700 Grandview C-4 students. 

Mental Wellness and Social Emotional Partnerships 

Grandview C-4 has a long-standing commitment to supporting the mental wellness and social-emotional needs of our students through partnerships with Cornerstones of Care and ReDiscover for direct mental health services, social-emotional wellness groups, annual social-emotional wellness screenings as well as professional development for staff members,   Additionally, the District has partnered with Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST) since 1990 for core behavioral intervention strategies and in-home support to promote safe and healthy home environments. 

Energy Services Contract 

The Board approved entering a contract with Schneider Electric for electrical upgrades which include proposed solar energy projects around the district.  Implementation is expected to begin in 2026.
