Robotics
Second and third grade students from each elementary school were recognized for receiving presentation, coding and core values awards during participation in the FIRST LEGO League Explore Student Showcase. The district now has 17 Robotics teams serving approximately 150 students.
PLTW Distinguished District Recognition
Grandview C-4 is one of only two districts in the state to be recognized as a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Distinguished District. PLTW is a hands-on, project and problem-based STEM education program. In order to receive this recognition, 20% of students at each grade level in the district have to participate in the program. Grandview C-4 exceeded this requirement with 100% of general education students K-5, more than half our middle school students, and a quarter of our high school students participating in PLTW.
Bond Projects Update
The Board was provided with an update on facilities improvement projects in progress and planned for the coming year. Facilities improvements are funded through the sale of bonds which was approved by voters in April 2024. Major projects include: completion of the new baseball/softball stadium at GHS, construction of a new training center and warehouse, updated classrooms throughout the district, and safety, security and technology upgrades. The most recent issuance of $37M resulted in an upfront premium which provided the district with an additional $3.8 M of funds for district improvements.
Tuition Rate
Although the Grandview C-4 school district does not enroll students who live outside the district boundaries, the Board of Education is required to post a tuition rate for instances when the acceptance of tuition students is mandated by law. Based upon the current expenditures for Average Daily Attendance as submitted to DESE, the tuition rate for 2025-26 was set at $16,981.
