Board Candidate Filing

The filing dates for April 4, 2023, General Election for candidates to the Grandview C-4 School Board are Tuesday, December 6, 2022, through Tuesday, December 27, 2022.  There are three positions available with 3-year terms.  Candidates will be placed on the ballot according to the order of filing.  Specific dates/times can be found on the district website at this link:  BOE Candidate Filing Dates.

Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP 6)

The Board was provided with an Overview of the 6th version of MSIP.  MSIP is the measure by which the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education assesses districts and schools on student growth, effective practices, and sustained improvement.  MSIP 6 standards are organized into three categories  (performance, continuous improvement, best practice) with each category having specific metrics.  Seventy-two percent of the scoring for MSIP 6 performance is based on student achievement, growth, and improvement planning.

School Improvement Plans (SIP) 

The Board heard SIP presentations from the principals of Belvidere (BV), Butcher-Greene (BG), and Conn West (CW) Elementary Schools.  Principals reviewed school data, root cause analyses, and results of their 30/60/90-day plans, as well as adjustments made to their plans based upon those results. 

Fieldhouse Renovations

The Board approved a contract with Centric Projects for renovations to the stadium fieldhouse.  Centric Projects has successfully completed other projects in the district in the recent past.

Budget Amendments

The Board approved amendments to the fiscal year 2023 budget recommended by the administration after review of revenues and expenditures.  The approved amendments will result in an increase in operating revenues of $2,163,652 and operating expenditures of $633,335 for a net change in the operating fund of $1,530,317.  Debt Service revenue was amended with a net change of $200,000.
