Recently we announced that due to a $1 million reduction in state funding, LINC would be reducing their before and after school programming for district families to only four days a week for the 2017-2018 school year, instead of five days a week.
After reviewing several options and receiving feedback from our families, administration recommended to the Board a plan to continue before and after school programming five days a week for all of our LINC families. The Board approved the plan at their July 20th meeting which includes the district paying the additional amount needed to provide free LINC services to families five days a week for the 2017-2018 school year.
The district plans to absorb the cost of LINC programming for one year only and will re-evaluate various options, including choices that may include a fee based system if funding is not restored, for the 2018-2019 school year. LINC sign up will be available for our families at Centralized Enrollment which occurs on August 2-3 and August 7-8 from 12p-6p at Grandview High School.
It is our ongoing priority to provide quality before and after-school programming options for our students in a safe, fun and caring environment that supports children's social, emotional and physical development.
