Board Candidate Filing
The filing dates for the April 2, 2024 General Election for candidates to the Grandview C-4 School Board are Tuesday, December 5, 2023 through Tuesday, December 26, 2023. There are two positions available with 3-year terms. Candidates will be placed on the ballot according to the order of filing. School Improvement Plans (SIP)
The Board heard SIP presentations from the principals of Grandview Middle School, Martin City K-8 and the Center for Alternative Instructional Resources (CAIR). Principals reviewed school data, root cause analyses, and results of their 30/60/90-day plans, as well as adjustments made to their plans based upon those results. Goals are focused on increased the percentage of students achieving of grand level in reading and math, and increasing the percentage of staff, students/families who feel a sense of belonging and ownership with their school.
Facilities Upgrades
Administration updated the Board on the status of facilities projects as a result of the voter approved $45M bond issue in April 2021. Most projects have been on budget and on time. Some projects such as parking lots, playgrounds and roofs will be completed during the summer of 2024 when school is not in session.
