Dr. Justin Larmie

We are pleased to announce Dr. Justin Larmie has been selected as Principal of Martin City K8 school for the 2023-2024 school year. Dr. Larmie’s educational journey began at Martin City K8 when he student-taught and later returned to teach 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts. He became an instructional coach and served in two elementary schools in the district, Butcher-Greene, and Belvidere. Three years ago, he returned to Martin City K8 to serve as an assistant principal. 

Dr. Larmie is committed to learning and maintaining personal growth. He completed his undergraduate and graduate work at UMKC, finishing his doctoral journey and earning a Doctorate in PreK-12 Educational Administration. He continues to put into practice the theories of education he has learned and continues to grow professionally as he supports teachers, students, and families.
 
 

Lauren Williams

We are pleased to announce Mrs. Lauren Williams has been selected as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction beginning July 1st. Mrs. Williams brings 18 years of experience to the Grandview C-4 School District. She is currently the principal of Hawthorne Elementary School in Kearney, Missouri. Prior to her time at Hawthorne, she was an assistant principal in the Independence School District for five years, serving at both the elementary and middle school levels. Mrs. Williams started her career in education in the Raytown School District where she began as an elementary music teacher before transitioning to an elementary classroom teacher.

Mrs. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri - Columbia, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University, and an Education Specialist Degree in Elementary Administration from the University of Central Missouri.
 
 

Kristen Schaefer

We are pleased to announce Ms. Kristen Schaefer has been selected as Assistant Principal at Grandview Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year.

Ms. Schaefer has been a part of the Grandview C-4 School District for the last 16 years. She was an English teacher at Grandview High School for 14 years and has been an Instructional Coach at Grandview Middle School for the last two years.

Ms. Schaefer earned her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education from Western Michigan University, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Oakland University, and her Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
