In-School Cafeteria Procedures
To avoid situations in which students are gathered in groups, we will adjust our typical breakfast and lunch room service schedule in each of our schools. Menus will be developed with food safety and reduction of contamination risks in mind. A designated flow of traffic will be identified. Signage will be available to identify space for 6 feet apart during meal pick up and seating in buildings where required. The school nutrition department will ensure all food service employees are adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) policies that include the usage of disposable gloves and face masks.
Designated entrances and exits will be identified. Students will be able to choose from a limited menu consisting of hot or cold breakfast options and return to their classrooms. School sites already participating in Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) will continue this alternative breakfast method. Breakfast in the Classroom procedures will allow the student to receive a hot or cold breakfast. Meals are delivered to the classroom.
